IRAQ - rug by NEL

I found this realy nice rug named IRAQ, by NEL.

From the NEL website.
"A rug shaped after the map of Iraq features soldiers advancing from many direction into Bagdad. Through newspapers and television, the image of Iraq is continuously depicted with graphics similar to board games and action figures, giving it a game-like dimension
which somehow shifts the character of the war. The rug, with cute little felt soldiers walking on a soft and warm surface, denounces this confusion, and the way in which the tragic reality of war is somehow diluted by using these images."

our new entry to the backyard

This is our new entry from the house to our backyard. Before there where a door and 2 windows but we had it replaced with these sliding doors.

our new bedroom (not finished)

I found the brick wall under layers of wallpaper and plaster. Our plan is to use the cord lights that I blogged about earlier as reading lights.
We made the new bedroom by building a new wall made out of wardrobes from IKEA.
I'm not finished as you can see. Will post new pics when the work is done.

bed light

We will in our new bedroom use cord lights, used by carpenters etc, as reading lights over our bed. I will show you a picture of the final result when it's done. Will also give you some pictures of my new bedroom, it turned out quite nice.

Banksy I just love what he's doing. Cred to you all out there who do this clean graffiti, keep up the good work. The banksy artwork is sold for some craaaazzyy money now a days, a one of painting is sold for 30.000 - 40.000 euro!!! Thats crazy.

backyard table

I'm about to build some furniture for my backyard and the table is going to look something like this. I will show you when it's finished. The legs will be black and I am not realy shore what type if wood I will use. I will also build a bench in the same style.

The light Taccia from FLOS has to be my favorite light off all!! Taccia is designd by Achille Castiglioni and
Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for FLOS. I need to be the owner of this light sometime soon.

concrete in my backyard

I'm looking at adding some concrete in my backyard and I love these patio stones from Oldsjö Hultgren Design. The best thing would be to make your own... lets see if I will do this :)


This "brickcarpet" by dutch designer Kiki van Eijk is also quite nice.
